Lewis Butler, age 71, of Mt. Sherman, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at his residence.
He was a family man, avid hunter and outdoorsman, loved to joke with everyone and was proud to have perfect attendance at LaRue County High School, graduating in 1971.
Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Harrison and Ora Mitchell Polston Butler; a grandson, Bryan Austin Butler; a half-sister, Francis Nix; a half-brother, Kenneth Butler and a special nephew, Donnie Butler.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Butler; a daughter, Anita (Ryan) Murray; two sons, Farron Butler and Randell (Jeri Achor) Butler; five grandchildren, Jordan (Colton) Snyder, Bailey Butler, Harlan Murray, Holly Murray and Laura Butler; four great-grandchildren, Kayson Butler, Duncan Bell, Zadan Snyder and Evelynn Small; two sisters, Charlene Hicks and Helen (Billy) Brooks; two brothers, Charles Butler and Eugene Butler and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 7, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Bro. Randy Buckles officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and after 9 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
